Who doesn't love a good celebration? We sure do! Well, what do we celebrate?

Milestones

Back in November 2020 we hit a big milestone; 50K users had signed up to our platform. In New York Maria brought cake to the office. Cake from the popular Danish bakery Lagkagehuset. In Copenhagen a classic apple pie was brought in from The American Pie Co. just around the corner. See what we did there? 🇺🇸 🥧 🔁 🎂 🇩🇰

In June 2021 we hit the 100K signups milestone. That's a whole lot of zeros... So what did we do? We bought a whole lot of doughnuts and consumed a whole lot of champagne.

1️⃣ 🍩🍩.🍩🍩🍩!

On a Monday in May 2022 we were finally able to celebrate 1M positions on The Org. This was a huge milestone and something we had been looking forward to for months. For this one we had to be creative - how do we translate 1M positions into something visual and tangible? M&Ms of course! And lots of them! We bought an ocean of M&M’s (not quite a million, but you get the picture) and they lasted us months 🔴 🟡 🟢 🔵 🟠!

Holidays (Christmas, Easter, etc.)

No holiday without presents! We all work very, very hard so of course we make sure to treat everyone with nice holiday presents. And that goes for kids as well. A few years back we made it a tradition to buy small Christmas presents for employees' kids as well. You should see the look on their faces. A 👏🏾 DO 👏🏾 RA 👏🏾 BLE 👏🏾!

In Denmark Easter and easter eggs are a big thing so naturally we have to send the team home on their Easter holiday with a little treat.

Each other and birthdays

First of all everyone gets a shoutout on Slack on their birthday. We built a little bot to make sure no one is forgotten. The bot, called Oscar Orgio, is a lot of fun but not always the most polite when posting messages like: "On your birthday this year I thought I would do something extra nice. I posted a ton of birthday wishes on your Facebook timeline so you would look way more popular than you are - you’re welcome."

As birthday celebration preferences differ from person to person we leave it up to the individual if they want to sit everyone down for breakfast, bring cake or simply go "under the radar" for the day. But if you're up for it we never shy away from a good celebration of a team mate.

Parties

Each year we throw one heck of a Summer Party and Christmas Party on both sides of the Atlantic. Let us know if you have a soft spot for party planning - we would love to include you in our Party Committee!
